The ASDC kindergarten is a presentable and successful model of a modern kindergarten. The deaf children are offered a balanced environment in which both child and family feel welcomed and comfortable.
The kindergarten at ASDC works closely with the early intervention program to maintain the child’s communication skills both verbally and using sign language. The children are taught using play and educational sections.
In the kindergarten the focus is on creating positive change within the children’s behaviors, attitudes, hobbies and skills and the development of their physical, mental, social abilities by means of play and fun activities. There is nine staff members employed in the kindergarten of which most is deaf.
