Different patterns and colors are used to decorate the wooden items distinguishing every product from the other. The 6 deaf artists employed in the department use very fine brushes and their unique skills to create masterpieces on every item they touch. Hand-painted boxes, hand-painted trays and picture frames are among the many items produced by the department. The artists working in the department have all received training which strengthened their knowledge in the field and identified their different abilities. The items produced are sold in the Atfaluna Crafts Shops which in return ensures that raw materials and salaries can be maintained.
